Lexington, SC (WLTX) - A trial begins this week in Lexington for a woman accused of killing her estranged husband.
Jury selection started Monday for Shellie Lavette Davis.
Back in September of 2010, prosecutors say she shot and killed 37-year-old Jermaine Davis at an apartment near West Columbia. Deputies said back then that the two had been involved in a fight earlier in the day.
After the shooting, investigators say Shellie Davis drove to Indian Trail, North Carolina, where she shot herself in the head.
The couple had five children.
