Was seen leaving in a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu and said that he was going to Rhode Island. Mr. August has not lived there since 1981.
UPDATE: Mr. August was located by SC Highway Patrol early Thursday morning on Interstate 26; Lexington Police reports there is no word yet on his condition.
Lexington, SC (WLTX)– The Lexington Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating an endangered elderly person.
At approximately 7:30 pm today, Lawrence August, 85, of Lexington left his residence in a maroon in color 2009 Chevrolet Malibu with SC License Plate EFS-586 stating he was going to Rhode Island.
Mr. August suffers from advanced Alzheimer's disease and has other medical conditions which require daily medications and assistance.
Mr. August has not lived in Rhode Island since 1981.
Prior to moving to Lexington he resided in Florida until 2006. Mr. August was last seen wearing khaki shorts, a white and brown checkered button up shirt and brown moccasin style shoes.
Chief Terrence Green requests the public's assistance in locating this individual and vehicle in order to safely return Mr. August home.
