Clarendon County, SC (WLTX) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash that killed one child and left two others seriously injured in Clarendon County.

Troopers say the wreck occurred Thursday at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Interstate 95 at mile marker 112.

A 20-year-old female was driving a 1999 Ford F250 Truck with two young passengers when she went of the shoulder left and crashed into a tree according to troopers.

The 7-year-old passenger, Mettie Livingston of Manning, died at the scene.

The driver and a 4-year-old boy were both airlifted to the Medical University of South Carolina.

The collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
