Lexington, SC (WLTX) - Three people have been arrested by the Lexington County Sheriff's Department and SLED on charges of illegally operating a gaming house.

Stacy Joyce Erickson, 39, James Frederick Freeland, Jr., 61, and Brunelle Speaks Pace, 54, each turned themselves in on Friday on three counts of unlawfully possessing a video gambling device and one count of operating a gaming house.

Investigators previously arrested Gregory Speaks, 44, in connection with the illegal gaming house. He was arrested on eight counts of unlawfully possessing a video gambling device and one count of operating a gaming house.

On Wednesday, Sheriff's Department narcotics investigators and SLED agents executed a search warrant and found that Erickson, Freeland, Pace and Speaks possessed eight illegal gambling devices that were operated at Freeland's home.

On Thursday, a Lexington County magistrate ruled that each of the Pot-O-Gold-type tabletop video poker devices were illegal, and were seized by law enforcement officers.

Erickson, Freeland, Pace were held at the Lexington County Detention Friday and released later that day after they each posted bail totaling $4,000.

Speaks was released from the detention center Thursday after he posted bail that totaled $9,000.
