Blythewood, SC (WLTX) – Friday night, hundreds of Rodeo fans were in Blythewood for the Doko Rodeo.
It was a fun filled evening with, food, games and of course plenty of horses and bulls.
"It's entertainment, this is cheap entertainment. You can come to the rodeo cheaper than it takes you to go to see a movie," said Ken Treadway.
A Friday night at the rodeo has everything you need, you've got food, family, plenty of hats, mechanical bulls and the real ones.
Lee Hankins brought both of his sons to see their first rodeo.
"They've been looking forward to it all week and it was just something for them to do," said Hankins.
Lee's seven year old son Wyatt gave it a try on the mechanical bull.
"It hurt a little and I liked it but it was really fun," said Wyatt.
We got a chance to see some cowboys on bucking horses and holding on for eight seconds isn't as easy as it may seems.
13- year-old Nick Morris has been ridding bulls for four years and is ranked 13 in the world for Jr. Bull riding.
"My dad did it, my brother did it and they got me into it. I want to go professional with it hopefully," said Morris.
If you missed the rodeo you can come out to Blythewood, Saturday the gates open at 6 PM and rodeo begins at 8PM. .
