Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Richland County investigators are searching for a missing 12-year-old girl.

Deputies say Rashia Weller left her foster parents home in Eastover on August 3rd and hasn't been seen since. Originally from Hartsville, Weller was placed in Department of Social Services custody earlier this month.

Deputies believe the girl may be in harm's way and are asking for any information people may have.

Weller is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 95 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing black shorts with pink stripes and a black and pink t-shirt.

Anyone with information on where she may be should call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, or e-mail a tip in to www.midlandscrimestoppers.com. You can also text information in by texting "TIPSC" plus your message to CRIMES (274637). Either way you choose, your identity will remain anonymous, and you could be eligible for a cash reward.
