Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The Richland County Fire Marshals Office is investigating a house fire that caused over $60,000 worth of damage.

The Columbia Fire Department responded to a home on Richcreek Road in the Byrneswood Community at approximately 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

Officials say the first units on scene reported heavy fire from a vehicle and the house.

Two residents were at the home, but were able to escape without incident.

Authorities say the home and one vehicle received significant smoke and fire damages that total about $60,000.

They also say three other vehicles and a neighboring home received minor damages.
