A 58-year-old man, considered an innocent bystander who was in the vicinity of the shooting, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a stray bullet.

SUMTER, SC (WLTX) – Sumter police are searching for two suspects following a shootout that left two men wounded at a carwash in town.

The incident happened at 2 p.m. Friday on North Main Street.

Investigators say they were first situation after the two victims drove themselves to the emergency room.

Police say they've determined that a suspect approached the carwash and began firing at one of the customers. There was then an exchange of gunfire bbefore the first shooting suspect left.

Police have identified one of the wanted men as 22-year-old Diquandrae Rhabb. Investigators say they plan to charge him with attempted murder. Officers do not have a name on the second suspect.

Police believe one of the victims fired shots back at the shooter, and right now, it's unclear if he'll face charges. Police say the other victim was an innocent bystander who suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say the shooting involves people connected to a dozen shooting incidents reported in the South Sumter community.
