Columbia has hit at least 100° five times this year.
Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- This week will feel and look much better than the extreme heat and humidity we dealt with last week.
A back door cold front moved through the Midlands this weekend, bringing high temperatures out of the upper 90s and back into the 80s.
High pressure is taking control of our weather this week sending the Midlands tons of sunshine and more seasonable temperatures too.
Monday and Tuesday afternoon should be sunny, pleasant, and dry with high temperatures in the upper 80s.
Wednesday the high temperature may top off near 90° and we may see a few more clouds, but no rain is expected.
The warm and dry weather is here to stay through the end of the workweek and into the weekend with high temperatures in the low 90s.
This means the weather will cooperate for the Gamecocks Thursday. It will be mostly sunny and very warm for the game Thursday night.
