Sumter, SC (WLTX) - A missing Sumter County man has been found alive, police reported late Tuesday afternoon.

Officers say 61-year-old Leroy Leneau was found in an area off Fulton Street. They report he was responsive, and a photo taken by police showed him being taken away by an ambulance.

Leneau, who's legally blind, was reported missing by an out-of-town relative who last spoke with him by phone at about 8 a.m. Saturday while Leneau was at a friend's house. Local relatives told police Leneau was last seen leaving his home on his way to visit the friend but never returned.
