Clarendon County, SC (WLTX) - A Manning woman has been arrested on DUI charges after authorities say she was involved in a wreck that killed one person and seriously injured another.

Tammy Brown, 45, has been charged with 2 counts of felony DUI (1 with death/1 with serious bodily injury), ABC violation and a seat belt violation.

Troopers say the crash occurred Saturday at approximately 11:55 p.m. on Highway 261.

They say brown was traveling east on Highway 261 when she struck the rear of a 1994 Dodge Dakota Pickup Truck causing it turn off the right side of the roadway and crash into a tree.

The driver of the Dodge Dakota died and the the passenger was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.

Brown was transported to the hospital and is now being held at the Clarendon County Detention Center.

Troopers say no one involved in the accident was wearing their seat belt.

The collision remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
