Columbia, SC (WLTX) A truck and train collided on Rosewood Drive Tuesday afternoon a little after 5 p.m.
According to Columbia police spokesperson Jennifer Timmons. seven-car long had its lights and horn on. Police say the truck driver stopped at first, then pulled forward onto the tracks, and the train struck the driver's side.
Police say the train was traveling at a very slow pace.
It dragged the truck about 50-100 feet. The driver walked around afterwards but was transported to the local hospital as a precaution.
The driver was cited for 'obedience to signal indicator of approaching of train', according to police.
