The city of Columbia has issued a boil water advisory for Northeast Richland county
Columbia, SC (WLTX) The city of Columbia has issued a boil water advisory after experiencing a six inch water main break.
Customers who are on Emily and Belle Valley lane in Richland county are encouraged to boil their water for at least one full minute prior to cooking or drinking.
Any residents who live near the affected area and who have lost water and or pressure are also advised to boil their water.
The break in the water main could result in bacterial contamination, remember any ice made from water not boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.
The city is currently working to correct the problem.
