The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services is holding a job fair to recruit new agents.
It's taking place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the agency's central office at 2221 Devine Street.
During those hours, representatives from the agency will be explaining application procedures, job requirements, duties, and pay and benefits. People are asked to bring a current resume.
People who can't make it to the fair can go to jobs.sc.gov and click on "probation/parole agent trainee." Applicants must have a four-year college degree. After completing the application, people will have to take a reading comprehension test.
For additional help with the application process, people can call 803.734.9220 or email to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org
The probations department is tasked with supervising 32,000 people, and has offices in each county in the state.
