NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - Former Massachusetts U.S. Sen. Scott Brown has confirmed the launch of his New Hampshire campaign to join the Republican challenge to Democratic U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen.

Brown's move is being cheered by Republicans nationwide. It gives the GOP a top-tier contender who helps his party's national push to claim the Senate majority - a shift that could fundamentally reshape the final two years of President Barack Obama's presidency.

Brown declared Friday he wants to "to stop complaining and get involved again."
