The media tour begins.

V. Stiviano, the woman who recorded the tape of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racist remarks, sat down with ABC's Barbara Walters for an interview that ran on 20/20on Friday night. It was Stiviano's first public interview since Sterling was banned for life from the NBA by commissioner Adam Silver.

In the interview, Stiviano said she believes Sterling should apologize for the remarks he made on the tape, and that he's hurt by what he said.

From ABC News:

"I think he's highly more traumatized and hurt by the things that he said himself," she added. "I think he can't even believe or understand sometimes the thing he says, and I think he's hurt by it. He's hurting right now."

When asked if she believed Sterling would apologize, she said "God only knows."

Stiviano also said this wasn't the only conversation the two had like this one, and there were a "number of other hours" of similar talks between the two of them.
