(WLTX) --- Wrist surgery has kept Jermaine O'Neal on the shelf but after returning to practice on Monday, O'Neal was in the starting lineup against the Kings on Wednesday, registering three points, four rebounds in 16 minutes of action.
On Thursday, O'Neal played 37 minutes and while he scored just two points, he had a game-saving block on Houston's Chandler Parsons.
The former Eau Claire standout is in his first season with the Warriors. He torn ligaments in his right wrist and underwent arthroscopic surgery in December.
There is a lot of mileage on O'Neal who made the jump from high school to the NBA when he was selected by Portland with the 17th pick in the 1996 draft.
However, the Warriors need an inside presence and Jermaine's return could pay huge dividends as this team marches towards the playoffs.
