Columbia, SC --- Auston Bousfield's two-out grand slam in the top of the sixth inning lifted 12th ranked Ole Miss to a 6-4 win over top-ranked South Carolina on Friday night at Carolina Stadium.

The Gamecocks are now 16-1 and 0-1 in the SEC while the Rebels improve to 17-2, 1-0 in the league.

Ole Miss Starter Chris Ellis worked 5.1 innings, allowing four runs on 10 hits to earn the win. He is now 3-0 on the year. Jordan Montgomery suffers the loss and is now 3-1 on the season. Montgomery worked six innings, allowing six runs, all earned, on six hits with three walks and five strikeouts. Vince Fiori added 2.2 scoreless innings of relief, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out two batters.

With inclement weather forecast for Sunday, the two teams will play a doubleheader starting at 3:00 p.m.
