Columbia, SC (WLX) --- One day after clinching a spot in the SEC Tournament, the USC softball team took the series from 20th-ranked Auburn with a 4-2 victory Sunday at Beckham Field.

Codee Yeskee, one of five seniors honored, was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Another senior, Ashlyn Masters, recorded the only extra-base hit in the game for USC, a solo home run.
South Carolina posts its best winning percentage in SEC play (.458) since 2003, when the team went 18-10 in conference outings.
The Gamecocks clinch the eighth seed in the SEC Tournament and will play ninth-seeded Auburn Wednesday night at 6:30 pm at Beckham Field.
