South Carolina offensive lineman A.J. Cann and running back Mike Davis have made the USA TODAY Sports Pre-season All-American team.

Cann made the first team, while Davis made the second unit. Clemson defensive end Vic Beasley made the first-team defense.

USA TODAY Sports' college football staff pored over rosters and depth charts across the Football Bowl Subdivision to identify the finest players in college football heading into the 2014 season. Each All-American team features 25 players: 11 on offense, 11 on defense, one kicker, one punter and one return specialist.

Of the 50 players listed, 10 made USA TODAY Sports' All-American team to end last season: Beasley, Michigan State defensive end Shilique Calhoun, Oregon cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, Florida State kicker Roberto Aguayo, North Carolina return specialist Ryan Switzer, Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, Florida State offensive tackle Cameron Erving, Mississippi safety Cody Prewitt and Stanford return specialist Ty Montgomery.

The Seminoles lead all programs with seven players, led by Winston, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner.
