Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- USC will have a distinct home field advantage this week at the SEC Tournament which will be held at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field.

The state-of-the-art facility is a little more than a year into its existence and it's where 10 SEC teams will vie for the tournament title.

USC athletics director Ray Tanner says bringing the SEC Tournament to Columbia will allow the Gamecock program to showcase itself which can never hurt when you are competing for high-profile recruits.

One day after USC ended the regular season, crews were working hard at the stadium adding SEC logos throughout the facility and painting the conference logo on the playing surface as teams will be arriving Tuesday to take their first swings in preparation for the Tournament.
