COLUMBIA, S.C. - (WLTX) --- Frank Martin has his third recruiting class signed and sealed and he hopes the newcomers and returning players will deliver when the season tips off in November.
Martin announced the signing of Shamiek Sheppard, a 6-6, 215-pounder from Brooklyn, N.Y. and Baton Rouge native James Thompson who stands at 6-9 and weighs 215 pounds.
They will join fall signees TeMarcus Blanton and Keenan's Marcus Stroman.
"With the addition of Shamiek [Sheppard] and James [Thompson], combined with Marcus [Stroman] and TeMarcus [Blanton], I'm once again extremely excited about the job our staff has done in identifying the right people and the right kind of players as we continue to build our program," Martin said.
USC was 14-20 this past season, but won four of its last six games, including multiple wins in the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2008.
