Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- The USC women's basketball team turned three of its incoming freshmen loose Wednesday at the Colonial Life Arena.

A'ja Wilson, Jatarie White and Kaydra Duckett were decked out in official USC golf shirts for a scaled-down version of Media Day.

The three players spent an hour or so Wednesday answering questions from media outlets, their first official comments since beginning summer school and summer conditioning.

There is no question college life is much different from high school. Instead of 45-minute classes, Wilson talked about attending a class that went two hours. The former Heathwood Hall star who was the top-rated prospect in the country says overall her transition has been smooth.

Duckett candidly admitted she struggled at first with the conditioning sessions which crank up at 5:00 a.m.

During her time at Dreher, Duckett never had to worry about weightlifting on a consistent schedule, but she quickly learned at the Division I level, weightlifting is mandatory and is part of the process of getting her body ready for this level of competition.
