COLUMBIA, S.C. (WLTX) --- The "8K in 8 Days" campaign kicked off Tuesday with the USC men's basketball team releasing its non-conference schedule which will include Oklahoma State, Iowa State and Baylor, along with the annual meeting with Clemson.
Also on the slate is the first game ever against NCAA Division II squad Coker. Martin says it's important to play the in-state schools and with Coker building a new arena, USC's third-year coach thought it was important to give Coker the guaranteed money.
Martin also touched on the outreach effort which aims to reach a goal of 8,000 season ticket holders at the end of this eight-day span.
The coach notes that it has been several years since that mark was reached at the Colonial Life Arena. He hopes the aggressive schedule will get the fan base energized and thinking about USC basketball.
