Columbia, SC (WLTX) - South Carolina's Williams-Brice Stadium has been named the fifth-toughest venue in the SEC for the upcoming season, according to Saturday Down South.
The media outlet cited the school's high attendance, intimidating presence, and the fact that it will host two of the Gamecocks biggest games (Texas A&M, Georgia) as reasons for placing it on that list.
The schools ahead of USC were as follows: Auburn, Alabama, Texas A&M, and LSU.
The Gamecocks currently are riding the longest home winning streak in Division I at 18 games, which is also a school record. In fact, the last time they went down to a defeat was on October 1, 2011 against Auburn.
The Gamecocks are currently in the midst of their most successful run in school history as well, posting three straight 11-win seasons. During SEC Media Days last month, sportswriters picked them to win the SEC Eastern Division.
