COLUMBIA – Former South Carolina place-kicker Ryan Succop has signed a one-year contract with the Tennessee Titans.
Succop was released by the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday in favor of undrafted rookie Cairo Santos in what appeared to be a salary cap move.
The 27-year old Succup, who was the final selection in the 2009 NFL draft, had a solid career with the Chiefs in five seasons.
He also performed kickoffs with the team. Succop replaces Travis Coons in Tennessee.
Also, former Gamecocks defensive end Chaz Sutton has signed with the Washington Redskins practice squad, according to the team's website.
