Atlanta, GA (WLTX) --- Duane Notice came off the bench to score 23 points to lead USC to a 74-56 win over Auburn in the SEC Tournament.
Notice also added eight rebounds as Carolina won a game in the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2008, snapping a six-game conference tournament losing streak.
Four players scored in double figures for Frank Martin who was back courtside after serving a one-game suspension. Brenton WIlliams added 16, followed by Laimonas Chatkevicius with 11 points and nine rebounds and Sindarius Thornwell with 10.
The Gamecocks made a season-high 11 3-pointers on 11-15 shooting from beyond the arc.
USC led 38-26 at halftime and by as many as 21 in the second half against an Auburn team which swept the two regular season meetings with the Gamecocks.
Carolina will face Arkansas Thursday afternoon in Atlanta.
The Auburn game also was the last for Tiger head coach Tony Barbee who was fired just a couple of hours after the game ended. He had been at Auburn for four seasons.
