Columbia, SC (WLTX) --- The Houston Texans may have the first pick in next month's NFL Draft, but the Atlanta Falcons could be players for that pick.

Officials with the Falcons were in Columbia Friday to meet with Clowney, a follow-up to a meeting earlier this week between the two sides.

Mock drafts have the Texans taking Clowney with the first selection, but the Falcons could make a run at that pick by offering the Texans a host of draft picks.

Atlanta does have a history of just such a move.

In 2011, the Falcons gave up five draft picks to move up 21 spots to the sixth position where they selected receiver Julio Jones.
