New York, NY (WLTX) - Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd will continue his football career in the Big Apple.
The New York Jets drafted Boyd in the 6th round of the 2014 NFL Draft Saturday, making him the 213th player selected overall.
He'll go to a team that already has two high profile quarterbacks: Geno Smith, the former West Virginia star who is the starter, and Michael Vick, who was picked up in the off-season.
Boyd had the best statistical career of any Clemson quarterback, passing for 11,904 and 107 touchdowns. In his final game, he led the team to a 40-35 win over Ohio State in the Orange Bowl, amassing 505 yards of total offense.
He joins four other Clemson players who were drafted: Sammy Watkins (1st Round); Brandon Thomas (3rd Round); Bashaud Breeland (4th Round); and Martavis Bryant (4th Round).
