*** DRY THROUGH THE WEEKEND; SOME RAIN NEXT WEEK... ***

.....High pressure will be dominating the weather over the region through the weekend. The high pressure system will shift offshore on today and a warming trend will begin. It will be sunny over the weekend with dry weather conditions. High temperatures will be in the mid 70s for Sunday. It will be nice throughout the weekend with light winds.

.....Clouds will begin to increase on Monday with skies becoming partly cloudy. It will be cloudy on Tuesday as a weather system approaches with a cold front. Some rain will likely move into the area during the day and continue Tuesday night. The rain should end by Wednesday morning with a frontal passage. Rainfall could be enhanced by some moisture from Ida in the Gulf at this time. However, most of that moisture will be moving across Florida.

.....High pressure will be building into the Midlands behind the front. Skies will be clearing and cooler air will be pushing into the region. High temperatures will be in the mid-upper 60s for the latter part of the week.

.....The center of high pressure north of the Midlands will move offshore today allowing winds to become south-southeasterly. This will start a warming trend which will last through the weekend. It will be sunny and dry today. Temperatures will climb into the upper 60s to low 70s for highs.

*** A WARMING TREND THIS WEEKEND... ***

 

TODAY

.....Even with the chilly start, winds turning to the southeast will ensure another sunny, dry, pleasant day.  Highs will again reach near seasonable levels, and should hit near 70 by afternoon.

 

TONIGHT

.....Skies will continue to be clear as the center of high pressure moves offshore. The dry air and calm conditions will produce another chillly night, but not as cool as this morning. Low temperatures will be in the mid-upper 30s.

SUNDAY

.....A beautiful day will be on tap for the Midlands. Skies will be clear with abundant sunshine and temperatures will be warmer. High temperatures will be in the mid 70s during the afternoon.
