Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Hurricane Arthur left South Carolina, after bringing high winds and rains to the state's coast.
The storm currently has maximum sustained winds of 90 miles an hour, and is moving to the north-northeast at 13 miles an hour.
An area from Myrtle Beach to Charleston received several hours of wind and rain. Sustained winds were around 30 miles an hour, with gusts into the 40s.
Rip currents were one of the biggest dangers for those decided to visit the beach.
Here in the Midlands, we experienced only minimal effects.
Of greatest concern now are interests along the North Carolina coast, particularly along the Outer Banks.
