LEXINGTON, SC - (WLTX) -- The Lexington County Sheriff's Office and the City of West Columbia have released a list of road closures due to inclement weather in the area caused by Tropical Storm Hermine.
The following roads/areas are closed at this time due to standing water:
- Sweet Pea Lane, from Mack Street to Gus Sturkie Road in Gaston
- Kleckley Road, from Klapman Road to Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia
- 1100 block of Jones Wire Road in Swansea
- Railroad Avenue, from Freedome Road to Burton in Lexington
- Cofield Drive
- Terrace View Drive
- Westover Acres
- Saluda Hills
- Saluda Gardens
Officials say these areas have experienced an estimated 3.5 inches of rainfall since Thursday evening. They say two trees have fallen on homes, two trees have fallen on vehicles and one power line has been damaged due to a fallen tree. As of yet, there are no storm-related injuries reported in the County.
Officials are monitoring all low lying areas and flood-prone neighborhoods. Drivers are advised to take an alternate route and to not go around barriers.
