Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A burst of storms brought occasionally heavy rain and some damage to parts of the Midlands Monday evening.
The storm began in Newberry County around 7 p.m. and began pushing southward, eventually going through Irmo, Columbia, and Lexington County.
There were isolated reports of downed trees and powerlines in the town of Newberry, and at least one report of a downed traffic light in Columbia. Over in the town of Lexington, a downed tree blocked South Lake Drive.
At one point, power outages in Richland County were up to 6,600, according to SCE&G.
