The weather in South Carolina (and in much of the bordering states) will be cold but clear through Wednesday morning, with no travel problems. But on Wednesday afternoon, a cloud cover will move in.
By late Wednesday night into early Thanksgiving morning, there could be scattered showers and storms across the state, particularly in the Midlands and toward the Pee Dee. Some of that rainfall could stick around for much of the morning, but will move out by later in the day.
Around the Country:
A high pressure system in the Great Lakes is pushing cold, dry air across most of the eastern U.S. However, a low pressure system in the extreme upper northeast is triggering lake effect snow near Lake Erie/Buffalo that will last into Tuesday
Out west, a snowfall is expected if you're headed out west late Monday into Tuesday from Cheyenne, Wyoming to the central Rockies near Denver.
It will be quiet but cold across much of the U.S. But by late Tuesday, showers and storms will from from Des Moines, Iowa over to Chicago, and as far south as Shreveport, Louisiana.
By late Wednesday afternoon into early Thansksgiving, showers and storms will form from a line from Wisconsin down into Kentucky..
