First, make sure a videographer is allowed in the church. What are the site's rules on lighting? When booking your videographer ask if they will be set up at the altar, if so, make sure that is allowed by the church and clergy, and also If you want them and their equipment in your still photography shots. You may choose to ask them to set up in a less conspicuous place.

Also, the most important aspect of getting a quality video of your wedding and the surrounding events it the post-production. Does the videographer edit the footage or just turn over the video tapes (or DVD). The difference between something that gathers dust or something that gets watched for years is often determined by how it is edited.
