Lee's Review: "Black Panther"

"The world is changing. Soon there will only be the conquered and the conquerors. You are a good man, with a good heart. And it's hard for a good man to be a king." -- King T'Chaka

(WLTX) - To the naked eye, the nation of Wakanda may appear as any other country in Africa. But the alien metal vibranium has advanced their progress exponentially! However, they believe the world is safer if their evolution is kept hidden.

But not everyone sees things the same. The Jabari Tribe has always had a different outlook and it might be time to exercise their beliefs.

In the end, the possessor of the vibranium gets to call the shots...and the ingester of the vibranium gets to be king! Yes, the Black Panther is not only a superhero, he's royalty. But one can only inherit the title by defeating all challengers without the use of (you guessed it) vibranium.

Once again, our export from the upstate, Chadwick Boseman, hands in a solid performance. But, unlike James Brown or Jackie Robinson, this is not a biopic and has the guaranteed promise of sequels. So, now that he has proven himself to be a talented actor, he can concentrate on being a wealthy actor.

But that's not to say this is a one-man show. The cast is loaded with greatness that often feels like it's too much for one movie. However, if you want your film to have a flaw, that would be the one.

I'm still not sure if I thought "Black Panther" was really good or just super cool. But, either way, the Leemoji is smiling all over it. Get ready for an outbreak of cat scratch fever!
