Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A Circuit Court judge has denied a motion to reconsider the sentence for former state Representative Rick Quinn.
Judge Carmen Mullen issued her ruling Wednesday.
In February, the same judge sentenced Quinn to one year of probation, 500 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine.
But special prosecutor David Pascoe said that wasn't enough.
But in Wednesday's order, Mullen says Pascoe shouldn't have accepted a plead deal from Quinn if he wanted a stiffer sentence.
Last year Quinn resigned from the South Carolina House and entered a guilty plea to a in connection to misconduct in office charges.
