The body a man who disappeared from Anderson was found Thursday in a wooded area near the Saluda River, according to Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore.
Bobby Shane Harvey's body was located within a few miles of where his burned pickup was discovered Tuesday night.
Harvey, 44, his dog and his white 2004 Ford F350 disappeared Sunday from All Ride LLC, a car dealership on U.S. 29 Business where he works. The body of Harvey's dog was found Tuesday on the side of road in Craytonville.
Greenville County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Ryan Flood said the body of a deceased adult male was located alongside Holiday Circle about 12:55 p.m. Thursday.
The discovery and subsequent identification Thursday confirmed the fears of those who were worried about his welfare.
Harvey had spent parts of his life struggling with drugs and trouble, his mother, Valerie Remsen, said Wednesday. Remsen said her son has been off drugs for about six years, but she believes whatever happened to him this week is tied to his past decisions.
Remsen said Wednesday that Harvey had been out of jail for only a few weeks prior to his disappearance. Loved ones held a prayer vigil for Harvey Wednesday night.
