Columbia, SC (WLTX/USC Sports Information) -- The South Carolina Gamecocks announced that sophomore WR Chad Terrell suffered a torn ACL in practice on Saturday.
There was no timetable set for Terrell's return.
Terrell, a 6-foot-3, 220 pound wide receiver from Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, played in ten games last season, catching three passes for 20 yards.
"It's an unfortunate situation for Chad, but this is one of the many reasons why we start spring practice so early," said Coach Will Muschamp. "Since the injury occurred so early in the year, we look forward to getting Chad back on the field and helping us this fall."
The Gamecocks' annual Garnet and Black Spring Game is at noon on March 31 at Williams-Brice Stadium. South Carolina kicks off the 2018 season on September 1 at Williams-Brice Stadium against Coastal Carolina.
