Brandon Taylor is the co-anchor of News19 This Morning at WLTX in Columbia, South Carolina, specializing in general assignment reporting. Brandon is glad to be back home in the Midlands. Brandon grew up in Irmo, where at a very young age he realized his love for television.

At the age of 10 Brandon began hosting the South Carolina Educational Television Book Awards and other special events on the state's educational network. Brandon attended schools in Lexington-Richland School District 5. He went to Nursery Road Elementary, Irmo Middle and Irmo High School.

Brandon graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC in 2007 with a BA in Communications and Journalism. His first job out of school was in Lumberton, NC as a multi-media journalist with WBTW, the CBS Affiliate in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Most recently Brandon worked as the weekday morning anchor at WKOW, the ABC Affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin.

Brandon is an award-winning journalist who loves to share stories and connect with viewers. Throughout his life, Brandon has been very active in the South Carolina United Methodist Church and has spent many years mentoring young people around the country.

When he isn’t bringing you the news, Brandon enjoys traveling, food and meeting new people. Brandon and his dog Bailey moved back to the Midlands in March 2018 to join the News19 team.
