MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — It's not just beaches, hotels, and crab restaurants: Myrtle Beach is also a great place to find love, apparently.
Dating website EliteSingles.com came up with its list of the 25 most romantic cities in America, and the Grand Strand came in second.
The company said it came to that decision by using "random, anonymous user data" from 150,000 users of their site. They looked at the users responses to the question "I bring romance to my relationships." The more people agreed with that statement, the more romantic the site deemed them to be.
They then looked at the average score for each city. The top city was Boynton Beach, Florida, which is between West Palm Beach and Boca Raton.
Location may have something to do with it. Most of the top 25 were cities in surfside towns in Florida, California, and Texas. In fact, 18 of the 25 were within an hour's drive from a beach.
