BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. — A Berkeley County Sheriff's Deputy is being credited with saving the life of a newborn baby.
The sheriff's office released a video of one of their deputies performing first aid on a baby who was not breathing. This all happened back in early June when Deputy W. Kimbro pulled a car over for speeding.
When that car stopped the driver got out and told the deputy that the 12-day-old baby had stopped breathing after drinking a bottle and they needed help. Immediately, Deputy Kimbro started to give the baby CPR and was able to get the baby to breath again before EMS arrived.
because of his heroic actions, Deputy Kimbro has been awarded the "life-saving medal" from the sheriff.
