Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Johnny Gill, who became a big star in R&B in the 80s and 90s, is coming to Columbia to be part of the "Taste of Black Columbia" next month.
The event takes place Friday, May 20 at the State Museum on the first day of the 2016 Black Expo.
Gill is known for his stint "New Edition' in the late 1980s. When that group disbanded, Gill branched out to his solo career, with hits that included "My My My," and "Rub You the Right Way."
The Taste of Black Columbia brings together some of the top chefs from the Midlands tastiest restaurants, allowing the public to sample their food.
