ORANGEBURG, S.C. — Hounen Solar, a California-based global solar panel manufacturer, has announced plans to invest $33 million to establish the company's first US manufacturing operations in Orangeburg County.
In addition to making solar photovoltaic (PV) panels for the clean energy market, Hounen creates other electrical products.
The company plans on leasing a 200,720-square-foot plant at 145 Millennium Drive, in Orangeburg, that will allow it to develop, manufacture and sell one gigawatt (GW) crystalline silicon PV panels in the U.S.
