$150 million investment, 292 new jobs coming to Camden

Prestage Farms to construct new poultry processing facility, hiring to begin in Fall 2022

CAMDEN, S.C. — Prestage Farms of South Carolina, a division of Prestage Farms, announced it will be investing $150 million in Kershaw County to establish a new processing facility that will bring 292 new jobs.

Construction of the new facility at Governor's Hill Industrial Park in Camden is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. The new location will process poultry products using state-of-the-art technology and automation. This will be Prestage Farms' second facility in the county.

Prestage Farms is a family-owned company founded in 1983 that specializes in quality pork and poultry products. The company has facilities in seven states and employs more than 2,700 people.
