Kroger offers discount on school supplies to teachers, parents

Shoppers with grocery store card can ask for 10% discount on qualifying supplies, electronics, clothing at checkout, through Sept. 9

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Kroger grocery stores are offering parents and teachers a bit of a price break on school supplies and essentials every Wednesday, now through Sept. 9, 2020.

Teachers, school administrators and parents who shop at Kroger on Wednesdays will save an extra 10% on general merchandise -- including school and craft supplies, toys, games, sporting goods, housewares, apparel and electronics. To receive the discount, parents and educators can shop in-store at Kroger or via Kroger Pickup using their shopper’s card on any Wednesday through Sept. 9 and simply request the discount at checkout.

“This is a challenging time for parents and educators. We are constantly looking for ways to help, whether it’s saving on school supplies or meal delivery to students,” said Felix Turner, manager of corporate affairs for Kroger’s Atlanta Division, which includes Georgia, Eastern Alabama and South Carolina. “It’s important to show our gratitude for all parents and educators are doing for students in our communities.”
