COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police have arrested a man in connection with this week's fatal shooting at an apartment complex.
Twenty-eight year old Orlando Gladney is accused of shooting his friend, James J. Patterson Jr. after an argument at Willow Run apartments on Alcott drive on February 3, police say.
When officers went to Gladney's home they say they found crack cocaine and Xanax in his possession.
Gladney, 28, was arrested and charged with murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine with in 1/2 mile radius of a school and possession of a scheduled IV controlled substance.
There was an additional shooting at Willow Run Tuesday night, but officers haven't said if that shooting is related.
