COLUMBIA, S.C. — A commissary worker at Lieber Correctional Institution has been arrested and charged with providing contraband to prisoners.

Khadijah Ravenel, 25, of Ravenel, allegedly brought contraband watches into the Ridgeville facility for potential sale to an inmate. She had brought a watch to an inmate in December 2019 and another watch was located in her vehicle that she was to bring in on a later date.

The inmate offered to pay Ravenel $100 per watch, she claims she never accepted the money.
