COLUMBIA, S.C. — One person is dead and Richland county deputies are looking for a suspect.
According to the Richland County Sheriff's department they were called to the 1100 block of Hallbrook drive, off Hwy 378 around 5:40 am for a report of a shooting.
When deputies arrived they found Calvin Recardo Bryant, Jr., 26 who had been shot in the upper body laying on the ground. He was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced dead from his injuries.
An autopsy indicated the cause of death to be due to a gunshot wound to the upper body.
