CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. -- Animal lovers are outraged after a dog was brought into Chesterfield County Animal Services after being thrown out of a moving car.
According to a post on the shelter's Facebook page, a good Samaritan called 911 after seeing the pup tossed out the window of a vehicle on Wednesday.
Staff at the shelter said the dog's mouth was wired shut, and his legs were bound. He also had matted fur. After a trip to the vet on Thursday, it was discovered the pet's jaw had been broken in the past, and he also had skin, eye and ear infections.
The good news is the tough guy is expected to be okay. The shelter named the dog, Handsome Henry. He will need a loving home once he's recovered.
